Genbu woke up LATE to join Kamahiko, Asabariki, Tamanosato, Enkaga, Toryuken, Kudasaru, Senshi, Midorimaru, and Daisashoryu in a big old mess of topics… including Genbu learning that Hokuseiho is some sort of monster, Miyagano is in big trouble, Champ/Chump needs more players, we go off on many a tangent, and there is so much more!

If you’d like to JOIN our Champ/Chump series for “Season 2,” simply shoot Genbu a ping stating you’re interested and also know you’ll need to be present on the Dohyo Download for the live draft on the day we hold it (it’ll be a regular episode day). Season 1 was Genbu, Asabariki, Tamanosato, Kaitetsu, and Kamahiko… so plenty of room for more fun and adventure!

Dohyo Download 0102: Daisashoryu Wrote a Book!

Daisashoryu has written a book about Chiyonofuji and the Dohyo Download has the skinny about the details! Kaitetsu takes the lead as we interview him about the details of the book and a little bit more (all sumo related)! Tamanosato and Genbu join in while Kamahiko, Takaryu, and Tetsuwan join the fun as well. Genbu reveals the finale of the Champ/Chump series, we talk a little bit about who won Makuuchi RTY and who might be seeing promotions!

Dohyo Download 0101: Tamanosato Might Be More Annoying Than Me

The gang is all here! Genbu (DJ), Tamanosato, Asabariki, Kamahiko, Kaitetsu, Kazesosha, Hikzaru, Midorimaru (in chat), Takaryu (in chat), Kokuchozan, and Tokado all grace the podcast in some form as we have our “weekly poop talk,” relive the tournament last week briefly, discuss who is doing well this basho, figure out who is winning in the Champ/Chump series, look at one of the most bonkers matches anyone has ever seen (Koizumi and Senshi… the link is in the Voice Chat in the Voice Channel), and we have ourselves a great time!

Dohyo Download 0100: 100th Epiversary!

There are too many people to name on this episode as we hold the Dohyo Download Open Tournament for fabulous prestige and prizes LIVE on the air! This one clocks in at nearly 2:30 hours as we have voices from many of the participants as well as regulars! We commentate on the matches (which almost exclusively happened in the Dewanoumi Training Camp channel for simplicity’s sake) as we whittled down 20 competitors to our top 3 finishers for prizes we didn’t really learn until the very end of the episode! We unleash the current (up to the episode’s live recording) standings of the Champ/Chump’s first season as well as a lot of smack talking up and down the show. Who knew that Kotonowaka wasn’t going to switch shikona until AFTER next basho? Crazy times.
